The Virginia Capital Representation Resource Center (VCRRC) would like to invite Attorneys and Investigators to apply for a two-day workshop - September 25-26, 2008 - developing mitigation investigation knowledge, skills and practice. The seminar will include presentations by capital practitioners and other professionals as well as small group sessions designed to display, develop and critique investigative skills. This seminar is intended for all members of capital litigation teams: investigators, mitigation specialists, attorneys, and those involved in pre and post-conviction capital litigation.
Due to the workshop structure of this event, enrollment will be very limited. To apply, please contact Jacqui Tolbert at jtolbert@vcrrc.org or (434) 817-2970. Applicants will be notified if placed into the seminar. Because of limited placements, a commitment to attend and participate is expected.
A block of rooms is reserved at the Courtyard Marriott in Charlottesville at the current per diem rate of $93.00/night for all attendees. Once you are notified of placement in the seminar, please contact the hotel directly at (434) 977-1700 and request a room from the "VCRRC Block" if you wish to reserve lodging. Seminar materials and a detailed schedule of events will be circulated after your enrollment has been finalized. CLE credit will be sought for attorney participants.
