Welcome to VC3.org, a comprehensive capital defense resource guide maintained by David Bruck and the Virginia Capital Case Clearinghouse at the Washington and Lee University School of Law in Lexington, Virginia.
Here you will find a variety of resources to assist you in defending your capital client prior to and at trial. To obtain full access to the site, you must register. Registration is free, will take one business day, and is open to all attorneys and legal workers who certify that they are engaged in the defense of capital cases. If you need immediate access, please contact the clinic directly at (540) 458-8557, or e-mail vc3@wlu.edu.
Although you are free to use the information and material on this site in any way you see fit to help defend your capital client, we urge you to contact the VC3 as early as possible in your case preparation. When you do, two third-year Washington and Lee law students will be assigned to your case, and will be available to assist with legal research, drafting motions and legal memoranda, interviewing potential witnesses, reviewing and summarizing records, and other services. In addition, VC3 Director David Bruck is available for free consultation regarding any aspect of the defense of your case.
